Responsibilities :
- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
- Load and unload trailers
- Shuttle truck/trailer between locations
- Pull tags from loaded trucks with accuracy
- Read and comprehend pick slips
- Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment, following inventory control instructions
- Stacking empty pallets
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
Requirements :
- Experience in manufacturing environment
- Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
- Having a good sense of balance
- Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
- Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
- Self-directed team player
