Responsibilities : Create 3D Piping Models of piping systemsPerform field work / sketches for designCreation of Plot Plans and General Arrangement (GA)drawings.Creation of Isometric and pipe support drawings as well asOrthographic piping drawings.Creation / Modification of P&IDs and PFDsChecks drawings according to design standards manual andchecking procedures.Generating BOMs, Line Lists, Equipment Lists, Tie-PointLists, Hang TP tags in fieldCreate Construction Bid Packages w / required deliverables(per project)Conduct / lead model reviews with NavisworksDo As-Builts as neededDevelop, train and assist lower level designers when / ifrequired.Do own weekly timesheets and track / account for projecthours.General understanding of industry design standards.Must be able to perform work with minimal supervision.Have communication and leadership skills to be able towork one on one with design lead, projectmanager / engineer and other office personnel.Ability to produce all design drawings from roughsketches, notes, vendor drawings or general directions fromothers. Ability to complete total project design.Understanding of all aspects of typical piping specificationsand materials used in industrial facilities.Thorough knowledge of drafting and design standards andtechniques in the area of piping, and mechanical drafting.Should have solid understanding of ANSI / ASME B31.3piping codes.Must be able to complete work in a timely mannerThorough understanding of documentation and documentcontrol procedures.Proficient in AutoCAD, Solidworks, AutoCAD Plant 3Dand Navisworks. Experienced in PDMS or AVEVA E3D.Must be computer savvy with MS Office and have strongwritten and verbal communications skills.Qualifications : AVEVA E3D RequiredAVEVA Diagrams experience. Designers with deep Intelligent P&ID in any program as an alternative. The thought is that since Diagrams users are difficult to find, someone with good experience with data driven P&ID and project design should be easy to train on Diagrams.Will be a great asset if designer has drafting / designexperience in other disciplines, such as Civil / Structural, Instrumentation and Electrical.Ability to learn, both industry and software is more important than length of experience.Local candidates to either location are preferred.Candidates that understand modern data-driven design and engineering are preferred.
