Description
SAFETY

§ Create a job step out for all jobs be creating operations in SAP for all major work tasks
§ Ensure that all operations in SAP have an estimate for manpower and execution hours
§ Coordinate with other planning groups (mechanical and electrical area planners, continuous use contractors, occasional use contractors, etc.) to ensure that all job plans are recorded in SAP
§ Plan for and schedule all equipment needs (cranes, air compressors, tools, etc.)
§ Initiate Quotation Requests, Purchase Requisitions, and Miscellaneous Shipping Orders
§ Prepare budgets, monitor job progress, and cash flow spend on Special Order Requisitions, major maintenance jobs, Capital Repairs, and turnarounds
§ Ensure Special Order Requisitions are approved prior to execution of the job when it is known that the job will exceed the SOR amount based on the estimate
§ Order parts and materials with enough lead time to ensure delivery and staging prior to the turnaround
§ Create plot plans identifying equipment needs/locations and other relevant information as needed (hot work, critical jobs, etc.)
§ Review the job plans (including estimate manpower and execution hours) created by contractors for accuracy; provide feedback to management contractor on job plans
§ Review job plans with the Turnaround Scheduler to ensure understanding of the entire job scope, relationships, and dependencies
§ Use standard templates to create check sheets for equipment such as exchangers, relief devices, control valves, etc.
§ Revise drawings, bill of materials, job plans, and checklists when errors or improvements are identified
§ Provide redlined P&ID’s and drawings of record to Operations and/or Engineering when mistakes or omissions are discovered
§ Help coordinate pre-turnaround meetings for welding, hot-taps, line stops, and confined spaces
§ Ensure that all required documentation relative to the job plan is included in the job packages such as check lists, recommissioning check sheets, etc.
§ Complete and issue all job packets (not including those for add-on and discovery work) at least one-month prior to the feed out date of the turnaround
§ Ensure the parts trailer is adequately stocked, cleaned, and delivered to the job site
§ Provide regular updates of the planning status of each job on the Turnaround Work List by utilizing the “Planning Status” section. This should be done as planning progress is made, not changed en masse
§ Populate the Turnaround Estimate Worksheet with estimate information as jobs are planned based on historical data and professional judgement
§ Complete and issue a Weekly Status Report (utilizing the standard template) to management outlining planning status for all assigned turnarounds
§ Schedule and lead Daily Status Meetings during the turnaround utilizing the standardized format focused on exception reporting
§ Work with all work execution groups to develop a reporting structure to ensure all relevant information is provided to you prior to the Daily Status Meeting
§ Provide coordination of turnaround activities during the maintenance window
§ Manage discovery work during the turnaround; ensure that job plans are create and that the scope of work and estimate (manpower, execution hours, and cost) are fully understood and approved prior to the start of work
