Your Opportunity

If you are a detail-oriented, hands-on Senior Accountant or Controller with the desire to lead all aspects of financial operations for Mavacy, then we have an opportunity for you. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment and wants to contribute to a mission-driven, entrepreneurial law firm. As Controller, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, accounting systems, compliance, and strategic financial planning.

This is a full-time, remote position based in the Phoenix / Scottsdale area, with periodic in-person team meetings and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting processes
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Monitor and optimize cash flow and liquidity management
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
• Assist in evaluating business performance and support strategic financial decision-making
• Provide financial leadership in firm expansion, service line growth, and operational planning
• Ensure compliance with relevant legal, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Support leadership with financial dashboards and KPI reporting

Your Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4 to 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in a professional services or legal environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP, cash flow management, and financial planning
• Proficiency in accounting systems, knowledge of AccountingSeed is a plus but not required
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments, and quality service skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

Your Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $80,000–$110,00 annually, commensurate with experience
