Job Summary:

At Maven Genetics, the Product Assembly Supervisor will assist the Director of Operations in supervising Product Assembly duties and activities for the organization. While the primary focus of this role is Product Assembly Supervisor, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to cross-train in other positions within the department based on organizational needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Director of Operations in implementing product assembly needs, quality assurance, and in overseeing staff population.
  • Scheduling and coordinating staff shifts and production cycles.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees while training new hires on assembly techniques and safety regulations.
  • Typically has some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.
  • Ensures that assembly line area(s) and/or distribution areas are clean, organized, and comply with established safety policies and regulations.
  • Monitors the efficiency and output of the production line, pre-roll, manufacturing product assembly and making necessary adjustments to meet Company standards.
  • Collaborates with other business lines such as procurement, logistics, and inventory quality control.
  • Maintains appropriate inventory while documenting and tracking production volumes, manufacturing times, and staffing issues.
  • Implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance production processes and reduce costs.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations within the assembly areas.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision.
  • Performs other duties as needed in support of business objectives as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications in production and inventory management, such as CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), can be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and efficiency enhancement techniques.
  • Proven experience in a production management role, with a strong understanding of production processes and techniques; preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience with METRC track-and-trace system in a cannabis production or distribution environment.
  • Proficiency with labeling and shipping software for packaging or fulfillment within a regulated industry (preferably cannabis, food, or pharmaceuticals).
  • Strong understanding of California cannabis quality control principles, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and safety protocols.
  • Experience operating various types of vehicles, including vans, trucks, or forklifts; preferred.
  • ForkLift certification; preferred.
  • Must complete a medical evaluation to determine physically capable of wearing a respirator or mask without health risks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations; preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Available and willingness to work flexible onsite hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts to meet business needs/production demands.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, sit for extended periods and continuous mobility and repetitive movements to stoop, kneel, and/or crouch on a daily basis.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Ability to move around effectively, including walking to meetings and accessing various areas or departments of cannabis operations including but not limited to: indoor cultivation facilities, outdoor farms, warehouses, and retail store fronts.
  • Occasionally lift and carry packaging supplies or equipment (typically up to 30 pounds).
  • Sedentary Work: Ability to hear and respond to phone calls, meetings, and communications.

Employees may be exposed to:

  • Loud noise from machinery or equipment.
  • Nutrients, integrated pest management (IPM), chemicals used for agriculture environments, production, or maintenance.
  • Pollen or other allergens from agriculture environments, production, and/or maintenance.
  • CO2 enrichment in cultivation rooms.
  • Temperature variations in workspaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,640.00 - $75,000.00 per year
