Overview
Maven Group is seeking an experienced project manager to lead a team of subject matter experts, and technologists in establishing and executing an actionable technology strategy, maturing the enterprise architecture, and related compliance activities for a federal agency dedicated to the health of the nation.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain project pans that identify resource needs and assignments.
- Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
- Host project meetings with customers, team, and/or team leads.
- Maintain quality standards in accordance with Maven Group ethos and the QASP associated with the project.
- Provide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members.
- Maintain continuous meaningful communication regarding contract performance for exceptional CPARS.
- Supporting a Kaizen approach for encouraging team participation in identifying, promoting, and adopting process changes.
- Manage deadlines and employee/customer relationships.
- identify skills and experience gaps with team members for their action.
- Track overall program progress and provide detailed management status reports.
- Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- This position requires, at a minimum, a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience
- A minimum of 5 years practical management experience with Agile methodologies for technology development and project management
- Active PMP certification
- Ability to manage hybrid teams and remote workers
- Experienced with using O365 and Teams for collaboration and project management
- Experience managing projects under contract for the Federal Government
- Track record of delivery for complex technical projects within scope, schedule, cost, and objectives in the federal space
- Solid people skills with direct federal government customer contact experience
- Experience working in a multi-discipline environment
- Ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities
- Proven leadership, management and teamwork skills
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation communications skills
