Maven Nexus is seeking a highly skilled Graphic Designer who has a background in direct mail and editorial design to join our creative team. This individual will collaborate closely with Editorial, Marketing, and Design teams to produce high-quality content for both print and digital media. The ideal candidate has strong prepress knowledge and thrives in a fast-paced, iterative design environment. This role requires ownership of projects from layout through pre-production and delivery.
Please note, a portfolio showcasing editorial-focused magazine work and direct mail design is required.
This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity located on-site in Deerfield Beach OR Boca Raton, FL.

Hours : Monday – Friday / / 8 : 30a – 5 : 30p
What you will be doing :
- Create visually compelling layouts for direct mail products, banner ads, slim jims, magalogs, BREs, and editorial pages for monthly publications.
- Place and format text according to established style sheets for editorial and marketing content.
- Link InDesign text layouts to InCopy and share with Editorial services for review and editing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for multiple review rounds, including senior creative leads and editorial teams.
- Incorporate feedback and edits, ensuring all revisions are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Select and download lo-res images during initial layout phases, integrating them seamlessly into designs.
- Choose appropriate fonts (Adobe Font Manager experience preferred) and manage layout design without heavy creative direction.
- Download and integrate hi-res images, sending them to color correction services and replacing them in final layouts.
- Ensure layouts are typographically sound and visually cohesive, maintaining brand identity and consistency.
- Prepare and package final print files for production with all necessary specifications, including bleeds, color profiles, and print-ready elements.
- Serve as the liaison between Editorial, Marketing, and Production teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Communicate effectively with color correction teams and external vendors to achieve desired visual outcomes.
