Training Specialist

Job Title: Training Specialist
Duration: 14-15 months
Location: Richmond, VA (Onsite)

Job Responsibilities

• Develop training analysis inclusive of surveys, interviews, and focus groups to understand the training needs of employees across operating areas impacted by the new solution(s).
• Thoroughly assess, identify and document processes currently being handled outside of the system, handoffs, and the outputs and what training by role is required.
• Meet with end-users to understand needs, pain points, and other opportunities.
• Develop and deliver end-user training
• Collaborate with system implementor and other partners for alignment.
• Other training support as needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 CIS and/or field service end-to-end implementations preferably Oracle Customer Information / Field Operations systems
• Have 5 years of operational experience / knowledge (call center, billing, revenue /collections, dispatch, and field services) preferably in the water and gas industries and /or other utilities.
• Successfully developed and delivered with demonstrated adoption training (content) for in-person, e-learning, and online/virtual training using Microsoft software, e-learning software, gamification, and other modern techniques used for adult learning.
• Preferably 5 years experience in instructional design and training for systems and software
• Must be able to train using the train-the trainer model
• Study playbacks to ensure alignment particularly with what will not be consumed / performed in the new system and address through documented training.
• Establish / follow naming conventions when developing and delivering training
• Must possess a great personality and provide a safe learning environment
• Be an active listener who is approachable and has a great sense of humor
• Intermediate expert level in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Forms
• Must possess your own software training toolkit such as Camtasia, Captivate, and similar tools.
