Overview: As a Product Manager specializing in Data Quality, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of our organization's data assets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and execute initiatives aimed at maintaining and improving data quality standards across the entire data lifecycle. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to drive initiatives that enhance the overall effectiveness of our data-driven decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
• Data Quality Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive data quality strategy aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
• Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders from various business units to understand data quality requirements and challenges across different domains and systems.
• Roadmap Development: Define and prioritize initiatives to address data quality issues, including data profiling, cleansing, enrichment, and monitoring, based on business impact and feasibility.
• Product Development: Work closely with engineering teams to translate data quality requirements into actionable development plans, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and technical constraints.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and implement data quality metrics, standards, and processes to measure, monitor, and improve the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across all systems.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence teams to ensure data quality standards are integrated into data pipelines, reports, and analytics workflows.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities related to data quality issues and proactively implement measures to mitigate these risks.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies related to data quality management and recommend enhancements to existing processes and tools.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to provide updates on data quality initiatives, solicit feedback, and address concerns or issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in product management or a related role, with a focus on data quality management and Data governance.
• Strong understanding of data management principles, including data modeling, ETL processes, data profiling, and data lineage.
• Experience with data quality tools and technologies (e.g., Informatica Data Quality, Talend Data Quality, Trifacta, etc.).
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
