Position Summary:

Responsible for managing daily sales administrative needs for Maverick, Hewes, Pathfinder and Cobia brands. Consisting of but not limited to, developing and ensuring clear and accurate sales reports, understanding of WorkWise (ERP) and Dealer Portal systems, communicating needs with operations, Sales Director and dealers, order management and financing, dealer obligations and event coordination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Boat Order Management
    • Provide all departments with accurate sales information consisting of order options / system issues / production request / order issues / delivery inquiries or changes.
    • Coordinating with operations to manage dealer orders and any changes.
    • Assist or find solutions to time sensitive sales related questions or issues in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate closely with Sales Directors, Regional Sales Managers and Scheduling to ensure proper order/slot utilization.
    • Confirm dealer orders and approvals of any production change orders/special requests, ensure finished goods invoices, MSOs, and Builders Certificates are distributed to dealers in a timely fashion.
    • Communicate with finance to ensure proper payment prior to boat completion.
    • Make sure dealer/order meets proper compliance with internal finance requirements prior to release for shipment/invoicing.
    • Update revenue sheet daily with shipped finished goods documentation and information.
    • Ensure orders agree in WorkWise and Dealer Portal, investigating and correcting any discrepancy or pending approvals prior to sending documentation to accounting for invoicing.
    • Responsible for sending weekly production releases to accounting for funding preparation.
    • Email proforma invoices to dealers prior to shipment of their boats.
    • Ability to pinpoint orders with option issues by running multiple system reports.
    • Ensure all orders affected by configuration/system issues are corrected and issue is resolved.
    • Responsible for model year changeover price protection tracking, requirements, and distribution. Also, auditing and requesting charge backs from accounting to dealers not meeting requirements.

  • Dealer Portal/WorkWise (ERP) Systems
    • Assist dealers with any questions or issues regarding the Dealer Portal system.
    • Ensure all issues with the Dealer Portal and WorkWise system are reported to the correct parties and resolved.
    • Aid IT department with necessary changes or improvements to Dealer Portal.
    • Ability to pinpoint system issues by running multiple system reports and communicating the information to the proper parties for resolution.

  • New dealer set up.
    • Collect all proper documentation for new dealer.
    • Ensure Accounting, IT, Customer Service and Shipping has all information and documentation.
    • Assist new dealers with Dealer Portal set up and training.
    • Ensure all dealers are set up for:
      • Dealer Portal / Ordering and Registration System
      • WorkWise / ERP and Accounting System
      • MBGGear.com / Merchandise Site
      • AIM Base / Lead System
      • Point-Of-Sale Shop / Dealer Boat Show & Showroom Materials

  • Dealer Programs
    • Dealer Agreements
      • Ensure timely distribution and return of annual Dealer Agreements
      • Develop and distribute reports as needed
    • Incentive Programs
      • Track and audit all incentive program requirements, request payments once requirements have been met.

  • Develop/generate and distribute daily, monthly, quarterly, annual sales and production reports as required to include
    • Report Order / Backlog and Inventory to corporate Weekly
    • Production Releases Weekly
    • Revenue Report
    • Wholesale orders/shipments by region by dealer
    • Retail sales by sales region by dealer
    • And others as required

  • Event Planning and Logistics
    • National Dealer Meetings
      • Work with Director of Sales to develop and manage event plans and budget.
      • Negotiate location and venue agreements.
      • Distribute marketing emails to reach out to potential attendees regarding upcoming events.
      • Coordinate event details, set up registration/ticket sales.
      • Be the point of contact for attendees to assist with questions regarding purchases, issue refunds or provide event details.
      • Coordinate event details with internal team, site event planners, dealers, event sponsors, event attendees and vendors. This consisting of but not limited to proper event branding, product availability for display, collection and tracking of contributions and other logistics.
      • Attend and manage event.
    • Corporate Boat Shows (FLIBS, MIBS, PBIBS)
      • Work with Boat Show Manager and Director of Sales to assist with any logistics
      • Rental Club Business
      • Day to day maintenance of rental club business including communications related to order entry, shipment dates, and past due payables.
      • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (primarily Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio)
  • Knowledge of boat systems
  • Ability to run boats and an understanding of how to operate electronics and onboard systems
  • Passion for the marine industry as a desire to learn and grow
  • An eye for understanding features and benefits and how they relate to making Maverick Boat Group the industry leader
  • Ability to travel during the week and on weekends
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong oral and grammatical presence
