Description : The position is responsible for all transactional accounting items from beginning to end of the manufacturing accounting cycle for multiple companies. This is a key hands-on role reporting to the Controller. We are looking for an educated, detail-oriented, over-achiever type of person who can handle general accounting functions and is willing to grow within our company. The ideal candidate should also be energetic, self-motivated, and known for having a great attitude regardless of the circumstances.Responsibilities- Assist in all accounting and front office operations for multiple companies- Manage data entry of payables, auto-pay, and credit card charges- File payables appropriately once booked- Verify accuracy on vendor statements- Coordinate with account managers to invoice in a timely manner- Review all invoices for accuracy, and file appropriately once sent- Track outstanding invoices and follow up weekly to ensure collection- Review and record bank transactions- Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review goods & service requisitions- Research & evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history- Arrange the payment of duty and freight charges- Monitor monthly inventory counts to ensure accuracy- Prepare necessary journal entries for accurate monthly reporting- Record transactions for cost saving initiatives- Prepare month-end reports, and assist with review of month-end balances- Provide support and report to the Controller- Assist with special projects- Help maintain relationships with customers & vendors- 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday plus after hours work on larger projects Requirements : - Highly motivated, very detailed and service oriented with a proven track record- Be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed for client jobs- Strong communicator with positive attitude- Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills- Well versed with Microsoft officeValued but not Essential : - Bachelor degree in accounting or finance- Experience in a manufacturing setting- Implementation of ERP systems / IT savvy- QuickBooks Online experience- Experience with A / R, A / P, and G / LCompensation details : 20-25 Hourly WagePI54dc13b6687a-29400-36534411
