Summary
Maverick is seeking a GIS Developer with experience in development to support our growing engineering team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a STEM-related field, particularly in mathematics, computer science and/or electrical engineering fields. The role will comprise daily interactions with a team of engineers and Geographic Information System (GIS) professionals in matters relating to design engineering, field engineering, and permitting; it shall require the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment to generate/process design data, as well as reports and maps. The role will provide heavy exposure and on-the-job training in the latest GIS methodologies for telecommunications and electrical engineering analysis and modelling. Some travel and field visits may be required.

Responsibilities
- Generate data validation and verification processes to ensure accuracy within large database systems.
- Create geospatial web and scripting applications within the ESRI stack.
- Develop custom widgets, geoprocessing services, ETL processes, and integrations across different software and platforms.
- Manage enterprise geodatabases, databases, web servers, and other cloud-based infrastructure.
- Demonstrate the ability to plan and execute the testing, installation, implementation, and support of such solutions and provide documentation.
- Coordinate with management, engineering, and other team members to ensure all deliverables comply with industry, local jurisdiction, and client standards.
- Develop tools and processes allowing for repeatable and efficient workflows.
- Provide technical support to design engineers, project managers and other team members.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, GIS or another related field
- Computer science and/or electrical engineering experience is a plus
- Strong proficiency in RDBMS, GIS, MS Office Suite
- Experience with Arcade, Java, Python (including ArcPy), ArcGIS REST APIs, topology creation and Attribute Rules and/or another high-level programming language is a must
- Comfortable using all aspects of ArcGIS Enterprise, as well as AWS cloud-based products.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol and background check requirements.
