What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Maverick Creek Villas?
Maverick Creek Villas, a student-oriented apartment community near UTSA, has an immediate opening on our maintenance team for an experienced maintenance technician.
Candidates must have prior apartment maintenance experience and preferably HVAC certification. Responsibilities include completing service requests for residents, appliance repair, some plumbing and electrical work, swimming pool and spa upkeep, turning units for new residents, and other general maintenance of the property.
Starting salary will be $22.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include paid vacation days, paid holidays, sick/personal days (including the week off between Christmas and New Year's), and a 401k plan with employer matching contributions. We do not offer health insurance.
The work day is typically Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm with a few weekends worked during the summer "turn" season (August). This position also shares on-call duties in a shared rotation with other maintenance staff, but is limited to emergency maintenance only (and only after an on-site community assistant has assessed the problem and finds they are unable to handle on their own).
