What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Innkeeper- Seasonal position at Maverick Hotels and Restaurants- HOTELS?
We are seeking a highly energetic, dynamic individual to assist the Innkeeper in leading the hospitality team in all aspects of operating the hotel. This high profile position requires a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, which will enable him or her to successfully interact with employees, ownership, the franchise, city officials and the public. The Assistant reports directly to the Innkeeper.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all Front Office operations to include, but not limited to, guest service and registration (check in/check out), room availability, guest service standards and initiative, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, systems use and management, forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation.
- Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.
- Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
- Meet and greet guests and respond to guest inquiries, requests and issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner and resolves guest concerns
- Responsible for managing the housekeeping/laundry department
Requirements:
The successful Assistant Innkeeper candidate should have the following work experience and skills:
- Prior brand hotel experience is preferred but not required
- Minimum 2-3 years hotel Front Desk experience
- Minimum 1 year Housekeeping experience
- Detail oriented with emphasis on building guest relationships
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to participate in MOD programs and cover emergency calls.
