Weekend Driver - Non-Emergent Medical Transportation

Job Summary
The Patient Transporter plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of patients to and from appointments. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care while adhering to safety protocols. The Patient Transporter will work closely with healthcare staff to facilitate patient transport, contributing to a positive experience for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from various appointments and destinations.
• Assist patients with mobility needs, ensuring comfort and safety during transport.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate timely patient transfers.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures during patient handling and transport.
• Provide basic life support as needed, ensuring the well-being of patients during transit.
• Support home community care initiatives by assisting with discharge processes for patients returning home.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate demeanor with a focus on providing excellent patient care.
• Ability to lift and move patients safely, adhering to proper body mechanics.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
