Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be adept at troubleshooting and repairing various systems. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The Service Technician will work closely with service writers to address their needs and provide solutions to better enhance the customers experience.
Duties
- Perform maintenance and repairs on residential systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues using logic controllers and schematics to identify problems.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking work orders and inventory.
- Conduct inspections and tests using tools such as an ohmmeter to ensure proper functionality.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with Service writers regarding service needs and recommendations.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by executing proper diagnosis and repairs.
- Lead small teams when required, providing guidance and support to junior technicians.
Skills
- Proficient in using CMMS for maintenance tracking.
- Able to communicate complex diagnosis with service advisors through notes and talking.
- Diagnose and or rebuild both 2 and 4 stroke motors / transmissions in a timely manor.
- Comfortable working with carburetors and fuel injection systems
- Familiarity with reading complex wiring diagrams.
- Leadership qualities to manage tasks and mentor less experienced staff.
