The Assistant Security Director protects and safeguards any and all interest of Maverick Nevada. Responsible for providing security to guests, facility, and team members. Assists The Director of Security or in absence of the Director of Security ,Supervises and schedules the Security team. This position will cover both Wendover Nugget Hotel & Casino and Red Garter Hotel & Casino.
How You'll Succeed
In this role you will:
• Adhere to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program an its regulations including, but not limited to Title 31 Cash Transactions, Suspicious Activity Reporting and customer identification requirements.
• Accept, record, and notify management of guest or employee complaints.
• Ensure integrity of gambling, banking, count room and cash handling procedures.
• Maintain a constant surveillance throughout the Casino watching for irregularities or illegal gaming devices.
• Immediately report suspicious or unusual activities to Surveillance Officer.
• Escort all chip and cash transfers within the casino and deliver fills/credits from cage to gaming station.
• Respond to disturbances and alarms and provide security for both guests and team members.
• Provide security for Cage, Count room and money drops and as needed.
• Ensure the safety of guests and employees of the Hotel and Casino operation.
• Perform first aid, CPR and the sue of the AED as required.
• Accept found property and tag for safekeeping, accept found or confiscated drugs and tags for safekeeping. Assist in locating lost property, file report if not found.
• Perform initial investigation and reporting of criminal and non-criminal incidents.
• Patrol the Casino, Hotel and pool areas for undesirable guests and remove individuals when directed by the General Manager.
• Handle all other Security functions as directed.
• Schedule and supervise the Security team.
• Perform related and/other duties as required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have previous Security experience and knowledge that includes:
• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Prior law enforcement experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Computer literate at a moderate to skilled level required.
• Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Able to remain calm in emergency or stressful situations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain State of Nevada Gaming Card.
• Ability to remain calm in emergency or stressful situations.
• Six months security of police work desirable, and or equivalent combination of education, military and/or relevant experience (Loss prevention and/or Law Enforcement background).
• Ability to comply with company and department policies and procedures.
• Must be knowledgeable with all State Gaming rules and regulations.
• Title 31 training.
Salary : $54,000 - $56,000
