Job Summary
The Lineperson plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of Utility lines and equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of problem solving and the ability to work in various environments, Travel is required and will be covered by the company. Maverick Utility Contracting focuses on functioning safely and efficiently while adhering to industry standards. Persons with no experience can be trained with on the job experiences.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground lines.
- Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely to access lines.
- Perform tree trimming as necessary to maintain clearances around power lines.
- Collaborate with field service teams to troubleshoot and resolve on the job issues.
- Rig equipment as needed for safe operation during line work.
Skills
- Proficient in climbing techniques for accessing elevated work areas.
- Experience with bucket operation for line work.
- Knowledge of field service practices related to systems.
- Familiarity with tree trimming procedures in relation to power line safety.
- Understanding of rigging principles for safe equipment handling.
- Strong background in cabling practices within commercial settings.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22.50 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
