Bartender: Mavericks At The Goss - Downtown Watertown, SD

Join the staff as a Bartender at Mavericks Steak and Cocktails. We are looking to expand our front of house operations. Do you have bartender or server experience? We want you! Our restaurant staff is a close knit group who loves to serve our guests some of the most unique dishes Watertown has to offer. If you are able to thrive in a fast pace environment, work as a team and and have great customer service, we will train you to our standards. Bartenders make great tips, receive tip out percentage from server staff, and will have the ability to also bartend during banquet events where you'll make automatic gratuity.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers, take orders and serve menu items and create cocktails!
• This is a fast paced high volume restaurant, you must be able to multi-task and think on your feet
• Assess customers’ needs and make recommendations
• Greet guests with a warm and inviting presence and make them feel comfortable in our establishment
• End of shift cleaning duties as assigned; everyone works as a team
• Restock and replenish inventory and supplies throughout shift
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age

Skills

• Strong knowledge of menu items and current drink offerings
• Computer literacy - MICROS
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work as a team to create a positive guest experience

Qualifications
- Bartending experience in a restaurant setting
- Proficiency with POS systems, including Aloha and Micros
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in creating cocktails
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Ability to handle cash register

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $5.75 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
