Our client, headquartered in metro Birmingham, AL, is seeking an Application Engineer.
Application Engineer role entails being a project lead, interpreting customer specifications, designing in SOLIDWORKS, and managing several projects and shop work orders.
Responsibilities:
- Act as Lead Designer on multiple projects and perform complete mechanical systems design.
- Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as structural, electrical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.
- Document design decisions, meetings, and instructions from clients promptly, while monitoring the project design progress.
Desired Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS or Inventor.
- Experience with AutoCAD (2D) or DraftSight.
- Familiarity with Office 365 product suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with CRM Systems.
- Working experience in PDM/PLM systems.
- Experience in structural detailing or mechanical system design.
- The ability to problem-solve and manage multiple projects concurrently.
