At MaviTech Professional Services LLC, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing complex products for data center solutions, including fiber optic cable assemblies, splice or connector housing, and Fiber Optic Termination Boxes/Enclosures.
The successful candidate will create 3D models, prototypes, iterations, and proof of concepts within rapid design cycles. They will also provide engineering input to develop NPI project plans and execute assigned tasks. Additionally, they will maintain/monitor laboratory equipment and calibration, assist the production team with manufacturing layouts, operation, and calibration, and work on R&D/product development projects as a contributing participant.
- Requirements:
- 3 years of Mechanical Design experience in sheetmetal, weldments, and injection molded plastics
- BS, Mechanical Engineering degree or relevant industry experience
- Strong design and development experience with complex/tight tolerances plastic molded parts and sheet metal parts and assemblies
- Experience in manufacturing processes and solutions for data communications products
