Counter Sales Associate

Mawson Lumber and Hardware is a locally owned and operated lumber yard and hardware store located in historic Old Town Fort Collins. We have been a Fort Collins company for nearly a century. Mawson has been fortunate to experience growth, and is looking to expand their sales team. We are seeking a full-time, Counter Sales Person available to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will have lumber and hardware sales experience, who is personable and has a positive attitude, with great organization skills and meticulous attention to detail and an enthusiasm for working as a vital member of a small team. A high degree of integrity, exceptional communication skills and an ability to work in a fast paced environment while juggling multiple responsibilities are crucial for this role. Job Duties Include but are not limited to:

· Greeting customers

· Provide product knowledge assistance and recommendations

· Answer Phones and assist with customer queries

· Correspond with vendors on product pricing and create purchase orders

· Create customer quotes, orders and sales invoices

· Process customer payments at point of sale

· Stock inventory

· Assist in keeping store tidy

· Cash drawer daily reconciliation

Compensation: $18-$25/hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (7:00a-5:00p with an hour lunch)

Qualifications:

· 2 Years Customer Service Experience

· Knowledge of construction, building materials and units of measure

· Basic computer skills and ability to navigate on the internet

· Experience with cash handling

· Reliable transportation and a Valid driver’s license

· Fork lift certified or experience a plus

· Strong ability to prioritize and meet company deadlines

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
