What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector-Assembly position at Max Aerostructures Llc?
General and Core line inspection support of daily first parts, in-process and final inspection of all types of assembly installations including sealing, fastener, bushings, bearings, bolts, ground studs, etc. Using inspection drawings, electronic work instructions and customer specifications. Functional test and correct, fit form and function of assemblies and components.
- Work with blueprints, work instructions, documents, verbal and electronic information.
- Use precision measuring and or test instruments to complete work assignments and functional test of assemblies and components.
- Utilize tooling in the assembly of components into sub-assemblies or end items.
- Verify in-process inspection of work performed to ensure all assemblies meet process and/or engineering specification. Identify discrepancies and communicate with assembly mechanics on rework.
- Assist with the movement of product within the work area, and within the facility
- Perform work within allotted schedules.
- Support all in process inspection within the general assembly and core line operations.
- Assist in the training of other assembly personnel in assembly, installation, and inspections techniques.
- Cross trains in inspection areas such as CNC machining, special processing and first article functions.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- 1-3 years of aircraft general and structural assembly experience
- Use inspection measurement and testing equipment and devices in accordance with established quality and operational procedures.
- Able to perform minor rework operations such as touch up of finishes, sealing voids, part marking of final assemblies, packaging and stocking.
