Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing excellent guest services. This role requires effective communication skills and a passion for hospitality, making it essential to create a positive dining experience for all patrons.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and a welcoming smile.
- Manage the seating chart to ensure efficient table turnover and minimize wait times.
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, restaurant policies, and special events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate guest needs.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for reservations and guest tracking as needed.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations.
- Support the waitstaff during busy periods by assisting with guest requests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for hospitality and helping others enjoy their dining experience.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
