Stock and Operations Assistant (Back of House)
The Stock and Operations Assistant plays a pivotal role in maintaining the overall organization and efficiency of our stock areas, while collaborating with management to minimize inventory loss.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine and implement optimal storage solutions to protect assets, ensuring systematic placement for easy access by the sales team.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments and oversee the process of checking in all products.
- Cultivate efficient processes for shipping customer purchases, store transfers, and warehouse transfers.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of incoming and outgoing transfers, purchase orders, shortages, overages, and issues related to store stock.
- Compile and file documents pertaining to stock movement according to established procedures.
- Collaborate with Visual on stock rotations and window changes, as well as storing visual props to safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate the disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete props.
- Ensure garments are properly prepared for sales floor presentation.
- Prioritize maintaining an adequate supply of store essentials.
- Support the selling floor as needed and collaborate with management to prepare store inventory, ensuring stock areas remain ready throughout the year.
- Perform other duties assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a retail stockroom environment is advantageous.
- Physical capability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds is essential.
- Strong organizational skills are required to manage store product effectively.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently are necessary traits.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
- Proficiency in computer skills is also required.
