We are currently searching for our next apprentice/trainee.
Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance
- Assist with the installation, testing, and maintenance of low-voltage electrical systems, such as fire alarm, security, and communication systems.
- Pull and terminate cables, including Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, and fiber optic.
- Mount and secure electrical panels, control panels, and other related hardware.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow company safety procedures and OSHA regulations when working on job sites.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Troubleshooting & Testing
- Assist with diagnosing and repairing system issues under the supervision of a senior technician.
- Perform basic system tests to ensure proper functionality.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment as needed.
Teamwork & Professional Development
- Work closely with senior technicians and project managers to complete assigned tasks.
- Participate in training programs to develop industry-specific knowledge and certifications.
- Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and clients.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (heights, confined spaces, outdoors).
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required but a Plus):
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
- NICET Certification (Fire Alarm Systems)
- Manufacturer-Specific Training (Fire Alarm, Security Systems, etc.)
