Our artisan pizza chef prepares delicious pizzas and other dishes that are thoughtfully prepared with care and attention. The Max A Mia Pizzeria menu is filled with artisan pizzas that are a hit among our guests. We are seeking a Pizza Chef that can deliver our current dishes and also be creative with new creations and updates on traditional items. The Max A Mia menu is updated and filled with upscale, authentic Italian dishes and offers wood-fired pizzas that are made with the highest quality of ingredients. The location is highly rated by Zagat, and the locals continue to vote it as one of the best restaurants in the Farmington Valley area.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience:
- Prior experience in dough stretching, prepping food items, and working the line. Pantry Cook Experience is a plus .
Skills and Qualities:
- Adaptability, as Max A Mia is expected to change locations just up the road soon and will need to adapt to a new space if needed.
- Ability to work the line in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Good time management skills
- Certifications: ServSafe certification is preferred. The company will pay for you to obtain yours within 90 days if you are not certified.
Additionally, the Chef needs to understand current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations by following established policies and procedures to ensure that safe and high-quality food service is provided at all times. The chef may also assist with the preparation of all items needed for service, from chopping vegetables to making sauces and butchering meat, and may be asked to prepare items for other stations or special events.
