Lead Quality Inspector
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Lead Quality Inspector to join our Concord, NC team
About the role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality control processes, ensuring compliance with company and customer standards, and leading a team of Quality Inspectors. This role involves inspecting products at key production stages, addressing quality concerns, performing equipment calibrations, and maintaining accurate documentation. The Lead Quality Inspector will collaborate with the Quality Manager and production teams to improve processes, resolve material issues, and uphold safety and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining product excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Quality Inspectors and ensure all team members are following policies and procedures effectively
- Act as first contact to Quality Inspectors for questions and concerns
- Work closely with QA Manager to solve quality concerns, proper staffing and training
- Inspect and verify Print, Cut, Folded product at specified intervals where/when directed by the QA Manager
- Use various Measurement & Test Equipment (MTE) and perform calibrations
- Ensure sorted materials have been identified and flagged correctly
- Approve and sign off QA areas of selected quality documents
- Complete Certificates of Compliance for customers requiring them
- Perform sampling when required
- Communicate any shortages and late orders to QA Manager
- Follow up on and document Quality Alerts for printing, cutting and folding
- Demonstrate a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Performs other job duties as assigned
Education and Background
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality position, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the Print, Cut, Folded, Ship process is an asset
- Strong leadership skills and ability to delegate tasks
- Ability to follow instructions to achieve a desired goal
- Strong oral and written abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Good organizational skills
- Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook
- Must be able to work with and around inks, solvents, and other chemicals
- Ability to work well with others and in a diverse workforce environment
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction
