Offset Press Operator
We are looking for a 2nd Shift Offset Printing Press Operator at our Concord, NC location.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
- Complies with all company safety rules and workplace conduct requirements
- Sets up and runs an 8-color Heidelberg UV press
- Performs routine press maintenance
- Monitors the entire printing process to ensure print quality
- Assists in training other individuals and team members when required
- Demonstrates a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction
- Performs other job duties as assigned including, but not limited to, cleaning rollers, pumps, anilox rolls, handling and properly labeling ink wastes
Job Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Applicants should have prior offset printing experience, including knowledge of plate mounting, ink / color matching, foil stamping, die cutting
- Experience with Heidelberg presses desirable but not required
- Possess excellent computer skills
- Ability to lift 10 - 15 pounds continuously with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift
- Must have good color vision
- Must have good mathematical skills
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently
- Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards
- Must be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits
- Must be able to work with and around inks, solvents, and other chemicals
- Willingness to work overtime when needed, including weekends
- Ability to work well with others and in a diverse workforce environment
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction
