Position Summary:
Max TA Group is seeking a part-time IT/Cybersecurity Specialist to support our IT infrastructure, network security, and compliance efforts. This role is essential in securing our systems, protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and providing technical support across both office and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in systems administration, cybersecurity, and hardware/software support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company’s network, servers, and IT systems to ensure security and efficiency.
- Implement and enhance cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, access controls, and vulnerability management.
- Support hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.
- Monitor system performance, security risks, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and IT security policies.
- Provide technical support to employees, resolving IT-related issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with security audits, compliance checks, and documentation related to CUI and cybersecurity policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT security within manufacturing and operational processes.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or 3 years of relevant experience).
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, network security tools, and firewalls.
- Experience handling and securing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in compliance with ITAR, NIST 800-171, or CMMC.
- Hands-on experience with hardware/software installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in managing Windows, Linux, or Unix environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security , CISSP, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of scripting/automation tools (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
- Understanding of compliance standards related to CUI, manufacturing, and industrial security.
- Experience with industrial control systems (ICS) or manufacturing-related IT security is a plus.
ITAR Requirement:
As required by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents. To conform to the U.S. Government defense regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
