Max TA Group is seeking a skilled Tempering Oven Operator to join our advanced glass manufacturing division. This role is essential to our mission of producing high-quality architectural and defense-grade glass products. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating a tempering oven in a manufacturing environment and a strong commitment to precision, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor tempering oven equipment according to safety and production protocols
- Load and unload glass sheets with care to prevent damage or contamination
- Ensure consistent temperature regulation and glass quality throughout the tempering process
- Inspect tempered glass for imperfections, stress fractures, or warping
- Maintain daily production logs and equipment checklists
- Coordinate with the quality control and fabrication teams to meet production goals
- Conduct routine maintenance and assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating a tempering oven in a manufacturing environment (glass-specific preferred)
- Strong understanding of glass handling, heat treatment, and safety procedures
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read basic blueprints or technical specs
- Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
