Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products efficiently, ensuring that items are secured properly during transit.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, adapting as necessary to accommodate traffic conditions or customer requests.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during the route.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving, promoting safety at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Proven ability to drive safely in various conditions, demonstrating strong route driving skills.
- Experience in customer service, with the ability to interact positively with clients and address their needs effectively.
- Knowledge of load unloading procedures and moving techniques is advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required; commercial driving experience is beneficial.
