We are hiring a Collection Planning Analyst immediately to join our team in Longmont, CO.
What you will do:
The NEI (Non-Earth Imaging) Collection Planning Analyst is responsible for managing all commercial NEI satellite collection objectives that support existing and potential requirements for Maxar s customers using a variety of technical systems, business intelligence, orbital data, and collaboration with internal and external customers. Independent judgment and dynamically balancing competing resources are critical to accomplishing daily tasks.
Determine the optimal time, location, and sensor configuration to collect data for specific projects and plan and coordinate the acquisition of NEI satellite imagery.
Consider factors like target maneuvers, satellite availability, and client requirements.
Utilize specialized software to optimize collection schedules and obtain the highest-quality data.
Orchestrate daily operations with cross-functional teams to ensure product fulfillment from satellite collection, imagery processing, and delivery.
Facilitate performance-related communication with team members, cross-departmental staff, and customers regarding status, milestones, issues, and resolutions.
Escalate operational issues as needed with team management and technical support teams.
Perform order requirement assessments to determine collection feasibility and access visibility using various in-house tools.
Performing geometric analysis in customized software for imaging requirements.
Manage order ingest into scheduling software and monitor collection performance.
Maintain standing collection requirements and catalog for NEI products.
Attend customer-facing meetings as the NEI Operational SME when requested.
Maintain a continuous internal process improvement feedback loop to the NEI Product Manager.
Provide support outside of regular business hour shifts to support a 24/7 Operations environment, as required.
Manage deadlines and prioritize workloads.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance or an ability to acquire/maintain a clearance
Bachelor s Degree or equivalent work experience
Previous experience in satellite operations, collection planning, and navigation (coordinating with the end-user, requirements, lighting conditions, sun angles, etc.)
Experience working with data, databases, and image processing tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience running in-house feasibility, collection, and image processing tools.
Previous experience and knowledge of order management systems.
Demonstrated experience producing raw images.
Familiarity with orbital mechanics, remote sensing products and applications
Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments
