Maxar is seeking a Geospatial Analyst to join the geospatial solutions team. You will be part of a team using various sources of data to meet challenging, high impact project needs supporting the United States Special Operations Command (US SOCOM). The Base Pay For This Position Ranges From Our Lowest Geographic Market Up To Our Highest Geographic Market Within California, Colorado, District Of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, And Washington
$64,000.00 - $135,000.00 annually.

Responsibilities
- Work with your team to gather requirements, determine scope, and estimate hours needed to develop and deliver custom geospatial analytic solutions to our government customer
- Perform geospatial functions in support of project development and production
- Collaborate daily with cross-functional internal and external team members, outside contractors and occasionally third-party vendors, as client requires
- Implement standards, processes, and procedures governing the operation of the classified geospatial web server
- Identify and implement improvements to system designs and processing methodologies to improve efficiency, scale, reliability, and mitigate operational risk
- Take part in strong QA/QC protocols and be able to learn and implement better practices based on QC feedback you receive
- Maintain production operations and other tasks as needed to satisfy customers and fulfill contractual deliverables
- Experience with database administration, specializing in GIS database management
- Transform large, complex, and often disparate data sets and documents into one central and accurate relational ESRI ArcGIS geodatabase
- Ability to thrive when challenged with repetitive environment and reviewing/processing massive amounts of data
- Use established standards for content, format, scale, and spatial projection
- Learns, advise, train and mentor with other team members on technical topics
- Write and edit procedures, methods, workflow documents and standard operating processes
- Active SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Geographic Information Science (GIS) or related field (5 years of experience in lieu of degree)
- 2 years of professional experience
- Significant experience with geospatial data management, complex MXDs and/or APRXs, definitions queries, advanced label properties, advanced symbology, etc
- Experience in GIS, geospatial data management – strongly prefer experience with ESRI ArcGIS/ArcPro, publishing datasets, SDE
- Must possess a strong client focus and personal work ethic
- Master's Degree in Geography, GIS or related field
- Experience publishing from an SDE to the web and/or Portal
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment as an individual contributor and team
- Personal management acumen adequate for autonomous task completion
- Knowledge of a wide range of research and collection methods and analytical applications to support the all-source requirements and to develop advanced geospatial analytic assessments for the customer
- Somewhat proficient in Python, ArcSDE, Microsoft Excel, Geodatabases, feature classes with attachments and domains
- Strong communication and documentation skills; candidate must be able to present and deliver products to diverse audiences as needed, sometimes with little notice
- Experience with AutoDesk AutoCAD data migration to geospatial format and/or experience with TurboCAD
