Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Maxar Technologies. As a key member of our software development and systems administration team, you will be responsible for formulating repeatable processes for data evaluations and communicating findings to government officials.
About the Team
Our team is a diverse group of software developers, systems administrators, and data analysts working together to build and maintain software applications. We use open-source tools to create and maintain a diverse range of applications and work closely with software developers to field requirements and provide feedback as changes are implemented into an application.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing and developing data evaluation and assessment efforts.
- Shaping data engineering approaches for analytic tradecraft improvements with our applications.
- Identifying and documenting gaps within our data corpus and analytical capabilities.
- Working hand-in-hand with software developers to field requirements and provide feedback as changes are implemented into an application.
- Working with end-users to provide SME support for various data or application questions and requests.
Requirements
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph.
- At least 5 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist or similar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent time-management skills and the ability to independently manage multiple concurrent tasks.
- Must be experienced working in fast-paced environments.
- Experience working with Software Engineers to provide feedback and validate the technical implementation for custom applications.
