MaxCare Health & Residential Services is seeking a passionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Day Support Team.
MaxCare Health & Residential Services is a residential group home offering nursing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have complex medical needs.
Our Day Support Services are available to individuals in need of a program that offers a compliment to community living support that will allow participants to obtain, maintain or enhance their level of independence

Shifts available (Full-Time or Part-Time)
7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Basic Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Provide basic patient care and treatment in collaboration with the Direct Support Professional /CNA
- Educate and update patients on medical treatments
- Daily documentation of services provided and progress towards goals
- Collaborate with an RN to administer prescribed medications and coordinate services as applicable

Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Virginia
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Ability to build rapport with patients, families, state officials, and peers
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
