What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics Technician - 1st Shift position at Maxcess International?
Primary Responsibility:
Setting up, Repairing, Testing and Maintaining the operation of electronical systems and devices for machinery and mechanical equipment. Read and interpret schematics diagrams, sketches, operational manuals, manufacturer instructions and engineering specifications to help troubleshoot malfunctions, ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure all equipment meets safety standards.
· Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines.
· Assist with the design and development of in-house machines.
· Retrofit machines to improve production efficiency.
· Identify alternative replacements for obsolete, hard to find, or costly parts.
· Collaborate with other engineers and technicians.
· Programming PLC, Temperature controllers, and other devices.
· Calibrate and Test electronic equipment (Servo Controls etc.)
· Provide technical support to team members and other sites with troubleshooting, repairs, and parts.
· Travels to other sites, if needed, to install and maintain equipment
· Maintain stock on electronic parts.
· Order and replace faulty components.
· Troubleshoot down to component level on circuit boards.
· Help in repair of HVAC equipment.
· Manage waste responsibly (utilize proper containers, participate in the recycling programs).
· Promote energy conservation.
· Maintain detail records of repairs and maintenance.
· Assist with Training junior Technicians.
· Other duties as assigned to meet departmental and company objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
· Safe work practices in an industrial environment.
· Good working knowledge of multimeters, oscilloscope and other electronic testers.
· Ability to handle multiple task and prioritize effectively.
· Proficient skill level simple mathematics
· Ability to work with supervision to realize company goals.
· Performs work with an attention to detail.
Education/Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 3-5 years in electronic or related field.
· Previous machining experience and or trade school grad helpful, but not required.
Physical requirements
· Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
· Ability to use ladder and climb stairs.
· Ability to be work from heights.
· Ability to exert average physical effort, occasionally lifting materials and parts up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to be “On Call” and work overtime if required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
