Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Lead the team in developing and implementing operational strategies to drive business growth, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Productivity and KPIs: Manage the Operations department's productivity and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet and exceed organizational goals.
- Order Management: Optimize inventory management, conduct regular reviews, and ensure timely customer deliveries.
- Shipping and Logistics: Develop and implement shipping best practices to minimize logistics expenses while adhering to routing manuals and compliance standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Create, analyze, and utilize reporting tools to evaluate operational aspects, identify areas for improvement, and propose necessary changes.
- Process Improvement and SOPs: Regularly review and analyze processes for efficiency, enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and propose necessary changes and modifications.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to prioritize shipments, seek new partnerships, negotiate pricing, volumes, and forecasts.
- Routing Compliance and Special Projects: Ensure compliance with customer routing requirements, manage and track adherence, and undertake special projects as needed.
- Travel and Offshore Resource Leveraging: Travel for training and quality improvement efforts and train offshore back-office resources to enhance customer service, analytics, and process-based functions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Industry Expertise: Proven track record with 5 years of experience in distribution and operations, showcasing deep industry knowledge.
- Team Management and Leadership: Demonstrated experience in effectively managing and leading teams, guiding, and inspiring them towards operational excellence.
- Technical Skills: Essential expertise in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), particularly in Raw Data analysis of 850/860 data, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Process Building and Execution: Proven experience in process building, technology development oversight, and successful execution of business plans.
- Collaboration and Adaptability: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, fostering a cohesive work environment, and demonstrated capability to adapt seamlessly to changing work environments and situations.
