At Maxima Therapy, we are a transdisciplinary therapy team comprised of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and child development specialists. Our mission is to provide high-quality, individualized services to children with varying delays.
The Position
We are seeking dynamic, creative, and committed Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTA) to join our team. As an OTA, you will have the opportunity to work with clients in their homes or daycares, providing 1:1 treatment and collaborating with our team members.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual services to children ages birth to 3 years old with varying delays
- Conduct 1:1 treatment sessions in clients' homes or daycare settings
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Take and submit progress notes as required
- Provide parent education and support
Requirements
- Previous pediatric treatment experience
- Reliable car, proof of auto insurance, and a valid driver's license
- Proof of immunization records, CPR certification, and current, negative TB test
- State licensure/certification from the California Board of Occupational Therapy (COTA/OTA)
- Strong work ethic, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; team-oriented
- Multilingual speaking/reading/writing skills are a plus
Physical Requirements
- Therapy activities may require playing on the floor or settings where the furniture is child-sized
- Careful attention to the safety of the client and surroundings is required
- Sudden and quick movements may be required
- Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching above the head, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Sustained physical activity may be required for up to 60 minutes
Pay Rate
The professional rate for this position is up to $70 per hour for time spent in sessions providing therapy services directly to the consumer; drive time and mileage reimbursement will be compensated at the applicable minimum wage and mileage reimbursement rate.

Work Environment
We offer a flexible work schedule, allowing you to choose your own hours. You will have autonomy to select clients and have flexibility in scheduling, with a workload range of 5 to 40 hours per week.
