POSITION SUMMARY: Servers at Maxime’s play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining and beverage experience through friendly, attentive, and professional service and impeccable order execution. Servers work closely the and front-of-house team members to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure the highest possible level of member satisfaction, elevating Maxime’s brand and service standards at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following and may change or be adjusted at any time:
- Maintains complete knowledge of Maxime’s policies and procedures and ensures that all practices and policies are being upheld
- Fosters a warm and welcoming atmosphere, attending to all members’ needs in a courteous and professional manner
- Leads service teams in fulfilling any members’ requests and facilitating a continuous flow of service
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all food and beverage menu items to assist members with any dietary concerns or issues, including any dietary preferences and/or food allergies
- Ensures that inquiries are addressed in a timely, professional, and effective manner
- Processes food and beverage orders as needed, ensuring accuracy when entering orders into POS
- Ensures proper timing and coursing of each meal
- Adheres to all Department of Health and safety standards related to food handling, hygiene, and alcohol service
- Supports all front-of-house team members in providing exceptional hospitality
- Attends mandatory meetings
- Adheres to posted schedules
- Completes daily opening and closing side work
- Other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)
- 2 year minimum experience in fine dining or similar caliber concept
- High school diploma or GED
- TIPS certification required
- Familiarity with POS system/Client Software
- Ability to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, per the needs of the business
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
- Polished personal presentation that meets Company standards
- Passion for exceptional hospitality, food, and beverages
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks
- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant
- Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing 0-50 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day
