Position Overview:
We are looking for an energetic, creative, and compassionate Preschool Room Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will foster the growth and development of preschool-aged children by creating an engaging and nurturing learning environment that encourages curiosity, cooperation, and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that supports physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development in alignment with NAEYC Standards and Nebraska Core Competencies.
- Facilitate activities that encourage language development, early literacy, problem-solving, and motor skills.
- Create a classroom environment that promotes safety, creativity, and inclusivity.
- Guide children through daily routines, including meals, bathroom breaks, and rest periods.
- Foster positive social interactions and conflict resolution skills among children.
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on their child's progress and milestones.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity and quality across classrooms.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or related field with child development coursework.
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education with 2 years of teaching experience.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with 3 years of teaching experience.
- CPR Certification (preferred).
Personal Qualities:
- Passionate about working with preschool-aged children and supporting their development.
- Creative, reliable, and adaptable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs.
