What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Age Room Teacher position at Maximum Heights Academy?
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a strong School Age Teacher to join our team. Our teachers are responsible for creating and maintaining a classroom that adheres to the school's mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilizing the many resources and curriculum to maximize the children's learning opportunities each day.
- Ensuring that MAXIMUM HEIGHTS ACADEMY regulations are complied with at all times.
- Communicating daily with parents about their children and their children's academic progress.
- Adhering to the daily schedule and following the prescribed curriculum.
- Presenting a professional demeanor at all times.
- Maintaining a clean and organized classroom that provides a healthy and safe environment for our children.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or related field with child development coursework.
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education with 2 years of teaching experience.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with 3 years of teaching experience.
- CPR Certification (preferred).
Personal Qualities:
- Passionate about working with school-aged children and supporting their development.
- Creative, reliable, and adaptable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs.
