Job Summary
Maximus Law is seeking a highly organized and experienced Director of Pre-Litigation Operations to oversee and lead our fast-paced, high-volume pre-litigation department. This leadership role is responsible for managing 2 team leads and 16–20 case managers, maintaining direct communication with attorneys, and ensuring quality control, accountability, and efficient case progression from intake through settlement.

- Department Oversight:
Manage daily operations of the pre-litigation department, including supervision of team leads and all case managers.
- Team Leadership & Development:
Provide guidance, training, and performance reviews for team leads and case managers. Ensure adherence to Maximus Law’s standards of client service and case handling.
- Communication Bridge:
Act as the liaison between pre-litigation staff and handling attorneys to ensure smooth communication, timely case updates, and alignment on legal strategies.
- File Audits & Case Quality Control:
Conduct routine audits on all active files at least once a month to ensure case completeness, documentation integrity, and timely follow-up.
- Settlement & Lien Oversight:
Review and approve all lien reduction requests, intake decisions, and settlement releases prior to execution.
- Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve departmental systems, workflows, and KPIs to optimize efficiency and outcomes.
- Reporting:
Track departmental performance metrics and report key insights and bottlenecks to leadership regularly.

Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in personal injury law, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of pre-litigation processes, including client intake, treatment coordination, and lien negotiations
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Tech-savvy with case management software (e.g. Filevine, Case Status)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
