Job Description
Software Developers —We have an immediate opening on one of our premier programs. Seeking candidates who are highly motivated to put their knowledge into play developing, deploying and maintaining advanced, complex operational networks. Seeking talent for this hybrid position in the Lorton, VA area. This is a full-time role. 10% travel is required every 3 months to attend Program Increment (PI) planning.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Modernizing operational mission systems ensuring mission effectiveness, reliability, and cybersecurity
- Designing and authoring software application upgrades from a high level, non-specific set of concepts provided by the government
- Producing specifications and design documentation including : Process flow, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, physical architecture, system and web service interface specifications, data dictionary, data model
- Creating project work estimates
- Implementing solutions and identifying operational or management issues
- Systems designing, policy development, and database development and management, and user interface development
- Utilizing available Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) software to the maximum extent practicable in designing software applications, avoiding implementation of a proprietary system
