Job Title: ServiceNow CMDB Architect

Job Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Work Schedule: 3 days Onsite

Rate: $96/hr w2, Based on experience

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow CMDB Architect to join our ServiceNow Application Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) leveraging the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework to ensure accurate tracking and Mapping assets and services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and best practices for data governance and service modeling.

Key Responsibilities:
CMDB Strategy & Architecture:
o Design and implement a scalable CMDB architecture aligned with CSDM best practices.
o Define governance policies, data models, relationships, data flows between CI (Configuration Item) types, and integration strategies for CMDB accuracy and integrity.

Service Modeling & CSDM Implementation:
o Establish CSDM-aligned data models to map business services, applications, and infrastructure components.
o Ensure alignment of CMDB with ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, and Asset Management processes.

CMDB Data Quality & Governance:
o Establish data governance frameworks to maintain data quality and integrity.
o Define data validation, reconciliation, and normalization processes.
o Implement data ownership, stewardship, and governance policies to maintain CMDB integrity.

Discovery & Integration Management:
o Configure and optimize ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and third-party integrations.
o Integrate CMDB with ITSM, ITOM, cloud, and security tools to ensure real-time data accuracy.

Performance Optimization & Compliance:
o Monitor CMDB health, data completeness, and accuracy metrics using ServiceNow tools.
o Ensure compliance with ITIL, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
o Partner with IT support services, Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and Business application teams to align CMDB capabilities with enterprise needs.
o Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance CMDB adoption and usage.

Documentation & Reporting:
o Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to CMDB architecture and processes.
o Develop reports and dashboards to provide insights into CI relationships and status.

Continuous Improvement:
o Monitor and analyze CMDB performance and data accuracy, recommending improvements as needed.
o Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to CMDB and IT asset management.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8 years of experience in ServiceNow CMDB architecture, ITOM, or ITSM implementation.
Expertise in CSDM framework and its alignment with ServiceNow platform capabilities.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and data governance best practices.
Experience integrating CMDB with cloud, security, and DevOps tools.
Knowledge of ITIL, ITAM, and enterprise IT operations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
ServiceNow CSA, CIS-ITSM, or CIS-ITOM certifications preferred
