An SAP SCM project manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of Supply Chain Management (SCM) projects within the organization, utilizing SAP software to optimize processes, ensuring timely implementation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet client requirements, all while adhering to project budget and timelines, requiring strong expertise in SAP SCM modules like Inventory, supply planning, logistics etc.
Responsibilities :
Define project scope, develop detailed work plans, manage project timelines, and allocate resources effectively for successful SAP SCM implementation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business users, technical teams, and senior management to gather requirements, address concerns, and ensure project alignment.
Understand business needs and translate them into functional specifications for SAP SCM configuration, including data mapping and process optimization.
Develop comprehensive testing plans, execute functional and integration testing, and manage defect resolution to ensure system quality.
Facilitate user training, communication plans, and adoption strategies to minimize disruption during the implementation process.
Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues to maintain project momentum.
Required Skills :
Thorough understanding of SAP SCM functionalities like Inventory, demand forecasting, production planning, inventory optimization, warehouse management etc.
Proven experience in managing complex projects from initiation to closure, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels and build strong working relationships.
Knowledge of SAP configuration tools, data migration techniques, and system integration concepts.
Understanding of supply chain management principles, industry best practices, and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
