Job Name : CAD Technician
Mode : Hybrid (involves a flexible schedule with a blend of on-campus / in-office work and remote work (approximately 50 / 50), depending on specific tasks and duties)
Duration : 3 Months (till April 2025)
Hours : 20-30 hour per week, flexible and TBD
Work Location : 560 Fremont Road, Stanford CA
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
AutoCAD drafting of civil engineering drawings, preparation of figures and exhibits using AutoCAD, Adobe, and Bluebeam software, assisting with facility assessments and photographs, interacting with Maps & Records for system maps updates and project drawings development, organization of project drawing files, conducting field verifications and measurements, and assisting with general AutoCAD drafting efforts.
The successful candidate will be :
Experienced in working professionally in an engineering group, flexible and adaptive to changing work assignments and situations, able to work productively and communicate effectively with multiple engineers in the group, keeps supervisor and others informed about work hours and progress as appropriate, is punctual and works productively and efficiently, demonstrates the possession of knowledge essential to the fulfillment of duties and responsibilities of position, demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and effectiveness in carrying out job assignments, recognizes the relative importance of tasks and when to refer to or consult with supervisor, uses confidential information with discretion, sets clear and realistic goals and priorities and seeks clarification when needed, takes initiative, is proactive and self-starting, and meets deadlines.
