Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and adaptable Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality assurance within our company.

Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting tests and inspections, identifying production, process, or product issues, and presenting solutions. As the Quality Assurance Manager, you would be the company representative for all internal and third-party audits. Company sponsored travel to our Hickory, NC facility would be required at least quarterly.

Our ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills, being bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus!

Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of production to identify system malfunctions and help improve product quality.

Education and Experience

Required:

Three or more years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control position as a supervisor or manager with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Individuals with transferable skills are welcome to apply. Experience or willingness to learn the following:

· QMS training

· Read and Understand all Internal SOP’s

· ISO 9001 Standard Training

· ISO 22716 Standard Training

· Lead auditor training

· Internal work instruction training for each product line in process

· Regulatory Compliance Awareness Training – Alison Training – SAP GRC: Governance, Risk and Compliance

· Six Sigma Training

Preferred:

An Associates’s degree in business, science, or a related field.

Primary Job Duties

  • Lead all internal and third-party audits
  • Review and approve quality plans submitted by customers.
  • Review statistical studies, technological advances, or regulatory standards and trends to stay abreast of issues in the field of quality control.
  • Evaluate new testing and sampling methodologies or technologies to determine usefulness.
  • Coordinate the selection and implementation of quality control equipment, such as inspection gauges.
  • Verify that raw materials, purchased parts or components, in-process samples, and finished products meet established testing and inspection standards.
  • Review quality documentation necessary for regulatory submissions and inspections.
  • Review and update standard operating procedures or quality assurance manuals.
  • Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.
  • Participate in the development of product specifications.
  • Monitor development of new products to help identify possible problems for mass production.
  • Instruct vendors or customers on quality guidelines, testing procedures, or ways to eliminate deficiencies.
  • Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Instruct staff in quality assurance and analytical procedures.
  • Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and specify sampling procedures to be used at these points.
  • Confer with management and customer service to define client requirements and expectations.
  • Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
  • Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff.
  • Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Stop production if serious product defects are present.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
