Job Title: Maintenance Tech
Position reports to: Maintenance Manager
Salary: Based on Experience (plus $1 bonus premium for attendance)
Hours: 10 hours shifts Monday-Thursday (Fridays if needed for overtime)
- 1st shift 6am-4pm
- 2nd shift 4pm-2am
Maintenance Job Description
Maintenance team members participate in the routine maintenance of plant, equipment, and machinery. They also attend breakdowns, diagnose faults and oversee time-critical repairs. Maintenance effectively manages the maintenance function at the facility to enable optimum productivity, quality and safety.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Diagnosing, repairing/maintaining equipment in a systematic manner and installing new equipment.
- Use of mechanical tooling such as pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance duties.
- Document work in logs and PM logs daily or weekly or as necessary
- Assist with training machine operators to ensure smooth operation of production equipment.
- Maintain equipment to ensure an uninterrupted flow of production.
- Repair equipment when failure occurs and return into production in an efficient, effective, and timely manner.
- Set-up equipment for jobs to be run.
- Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor and check safety devices on all equipment and repair any problems immediately.
Qualifications:
- Job competency requirements: High School Diploma and sufficient work experience to have gained good knowledge of manufacturing equipment diagnosis and repair.
- Knowledge and experience in the following areas preferred:
o Electrical machine repair
o Cartoning and other packaging machines
o Electrical knowledge
o Performing Preventative Maintenance
o Practical equipment/machine knowledge (bartelt)

· Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift to 60lbs.
