Job Summary
Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments involving inventory. Handle daily workflow, including warehousing transactions, shipping, receiving and storage of all products and equipment moving through the facility. Perform essential inventory transaction including picking, put-away, transferring and cycle counting and lead internal facility audits related to material and finished goods. Primary Job Duties:
- Greet and sign in drivers throughout the day.
- Read and reply to all emails sent to the docks email.
- Communicate with production to determine loads in Appian.
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list.
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
- Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
- Deliver or route materials to departments.
- Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
- Conducting inventory counting processes to ensure a shipment’s accuracy.
- Evaluating and managing stock rotation procedures.
- Training staff in stocking procedures and product dating methods.
- Placing inventory restock orders.
Skills:
- Experience in fast-paced environments shipping multiple millions of dollars of inventory annually across a wide range of SKU’s a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues, formulate appropriate action plans, and execute to plan with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to work and communicate with teams and individuals to accomplish goals and improve the operations on a daily basis.
- Skill in managing day-to-day issues while keeping the “big picture” of the organization’s broad corporate goals in mind
- Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results.

Education and Experience
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent and one year of factory related experience in shipping and receiving.
- SAP software experience preferred
- Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
